Mine PRANA · Etchash (ECIP-1099) · same rig as Ethereum Classic
PRANA is an EVM proof-of-work compute chain — chainId 712217
(0xade19). Its security lane runs Etchash, byte-for-byte the algorithm
your ETC rig already mines: zero switching cost — same miner, same GPU, same DAG mechanics.
You change one pool URL and your payout address and you're hashing. Below is copy-paste for the
common miners; a rig can be submitting shares in minutes.
Why point a GPU at PRANA now — the honest pitch
- Fair launch, no premine. Supply started at zero. No presale, no insider allocation, no dev bag. Every coin was mined. Early hashrate is genuinely early.
- Hashing is a thin security layer — the real reward is compute. PRANA is a "chain-is-the-pool" design: a HASH lane (ordinary Etchash, just enough to keep blocks secure and ordered) plus a TASK lane — verified AI/GPU compute paid from the same pot. The whole point is that the GPUs securing the chain are the GPUs a living AI (Hathor) thinks on. You mine the security lane today; the compute lane is where the design sends the bigger reward. This is not a "mine it like ETC anywhere for profit" coin — it's compute you get paid for, with a hash floor underneath.
- 2% protocol fee, disclosed. A consensus-level 2% goes to a governed treasury (it funds Hathor, the founding AI Witness). It is in the open, not hidden, and can't be dodged by any pool.
- No profit promise. We don't know the coin price and won't pretend to. Mine because you want to hold PRANA and be the compute for an AI — treat any dollar return as unproven. Hashrate is not profit.
The three things you set (everywhere)
- Pool (stratum) URL —
stratum+tcp://pool.soapbox.community:3333 - Wallet / payout — your PRANA EVM address
0x…(40 hex chars). Get one below. You give the pool only the public address — never a private key. - Worker name — any label (
rig1,garage3070) to tell rigs apart.
Username convention in every miner: wallet.worker
— your 0x address, a dot, then the worker name.
1 · Get an address — add PRANA to your wallet
Your payout is a normal EVM 0x… address. Use
Akasha or any MetaMask-compatible wallet. One click adds the network
(EIP-3085 wallet_addEthereumChain):
Or copy the params into any wallet:
{
"chainId": "0xade19",
"chainName": "PRANA",
"nativeCurrency": {
"name": "PRANA",
"symbol": "PRANA",
"decimals": 18
},
"rpcUrls": [
"https://rpc.prana.melek.salon"
],
"blockExplorerUrls": [
"https://pranascan.soapbox.community"
]
}
The pool creates a wallet for you in-browser too — My Coins generates the EVM address (seed never leaves your browser; the pool holds no keys).
2 · Point your rig at the pool
The pool speaks the standard Ethereum/Etchash stratum, so
every mainstream Etchash miner works. Replace 0xYOUR_PRANA_ADDRESS with your address.
lolMiner (NVIDIA + AMD)
lolMiner --algo ETCHASH \ --pool stratum+tcp://pool.soapbox.community:3333 \ --user 0xYOUR_PRANA_ADDRESS.rig1
T-Rex (NVIDIA)
t-rex -a etchash \ -o stratum+tcp://pool.soapbox.community:3333 \ -u 0xYOUR_PRANA_ADDRESS -p x -w rig1
GMiner (NVIDIA + AMD)
miner --algo etchash \ --server pool.soapbox.community --port 3333 \ --user 0xYOUR_PRANA_ADDRESS.rig1
Windows .bat (double-click)
lolMiner.exe --algo ETCHASH --pool stratum+tcp://pool.soapbox.community:3333 --user 0xYOUR_PRANA_ADDRESS.rig1 pause
HiveOS / mmpOS flight sheet
Coin: custom / Etchash · Wallet:
0xYOUR_PRANA_ADDRESS · Pool: pool.soapbox.community:3333
(template %WAL%.%WORKER_NAME%) · Miner: lolMiner or T-Rex. Apply the flight sheet.
3 · What you need — the one hard spec is VRAM
Etchash keeps a large dataset (the DAG) resident in GPU memory, and it grows slowly over time. That single spec decides whether a card can mine:
- 6 GB minimum to start now (finite runway as the DAG grows); 8 GB+ is the durable choice.
- NVIDIA: GTX 1060 6GB and up, the whole RTX line (2060–4090). AMD: RX 470/480, RX 570/580 8 GB, RX 5000/6000/7000.
- Skip: anything under 6 GB, integrated graphics, ASICs (not practical for Etchash).
- Etchash is memory-bandwidth bound: undervolt the core, push the memory clock, cap power. CPU/RAM/PSU are just support — size the PSU generously.
First run builds the DAG (seconds to ~a minute, once per epoch), connects, then submits shares. "Share accepted" = the pool credits your address. A DAG build that immediately errors on memory means the card lacks free VRAM.
4 · Rewards, fees, and checking your stats
PRANA's chain is the pool. Consensus sends 98% of every
block reward to the pot contract 0x0c033FF8f3eEF60981574816672E80dEc5404E3C; every 20 blocks
(about 4.33 minutes) the pot pays every address by its accepted
shares and pushes the PRANA straight to your address — no threshold, nothing to claim.
A round where nobody mined carries its PRANA into the next round.
- One fee, disclosed: 2% of every block reward goes by consensus to Hathor's treasury; there is no pool fee on top. Details on the fee page.
- Live stats: paste your address on the live pool page to see your worker hashrate, shares, and pending/paid balance — and to confirm the pool's current network height before you commit a rig.
- On-chain: your paid balance lands at your address — verify it on PRANAScan.
Mining outside the pool — Lost and Found
PRANA's pool is hardcoded into consensus, so there is no second pool to run: every block reward goes to the pot whoever seals it. If you solo-mine or mine through some other software, the reward is held in the pot's Lost and Found under the coinbase address written in your block, and it is released to that address the moment it submits a valid share to the pool. Nobody else can claim it. Contract and RPC reference: PRANA contract dev. Depth on the algorithm and economics is in the Library — Mining and PRANA articles.
